Draslovka a.s, (“Draslovka” or the “Company”), a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for the mining industry, is pleased to announce the beginning of a promising collaboration with the JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (“AGMK”), a leading industrial enterprise and a key player in Uzbekistan’s mining and metal industry.
In May, representatives from Draslovka visited AGMK’s headquarters in Almalyk to present the company’s latest advancements in sustainable mining chemistry and discuss opportunities for cooperation. The visit marks a significant step forward in supporting Uzbekistan’s growing commitment to modernization, production efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
The visit included a tour of the Kalmakyr mine, which produced 35.8 million tons of copper and molybdenum ore in 2023 (Source: AGMK.uz), as well as the Yoshlik I mine, recognized globally as the largest gold ore deposit among copper deposits (Source: AGMK.uz).
During the meeting, Draslovka shared a comprehensive overview of its mining solutions; however, discussions were centered on the potential application of its patented Glycine Leaching Technology (GLT) at AGMK’s facilities, resulting in an agreement to initiate cooperation.
Glycine Leaching Technology assists precious and base metal mines in extracting metals in a way that is more environmentally friendly, safer, and more cost-effective due to the significant reduction of traditional reagent chemicals. Additionally, it has been proven to reduce carbon intensity, extend asset life, and lower cut-off grades.
This partnership marks a key milestone in Draslovka’s ongoing mission to deliver cleaner, more efficient chemical solutions that assist global mining companies in achieving their sustainability targets. The company is now in the process of finalizing the discussion with AGMK management, with a commencement date of cooperation still under review.
