Our current sodium cyanide production facilities are in Memphis, Tennessee and Kolín, Czech Republic. We hold a combined production capacity of 140 Ktpa, with the largest distribution network in the Americas. We pride ourselves in being a trusted chemicals supplier to our global network of clients.
Our history
The original Kolín factory is established where HCN is obtained by processing molasses residues from the surrounding distilleries.
1947
The Kolín factory is destroyed in WW2, but it is rebuilt and resumes full production.
1949
The Kolín factory is taken over by the state.
1952
Memphis Site is opened by DuPont.
1960
1960 The pilot plant for the production of synthetic HCN begins at Kolín.
2015
DuPont creates a spin-off business for cyanide within Chemours.
2012
BPD partners acquires a stake in Draslovka.
1996
The Brůžek Family acquires the Kolín facility.
1992
The Kolín facility begins to operate as a private company.
1968
The Andrussow process for HCN production is adopted at Kolín.

Draslovka acquires the Chemours Mining Solutions business and in the same year, goes into a $150m strategic partnership with funds managed by Oaktree Capital.
2022
Draslovka acquires Mining & Process Solutions who owns the exclusive rights to Glycine Leaching Technology. GlyCat™ and GlyLeach™ are commercially launched in the same year.
2023
Draslovka acquires Blue Cube Systems based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, who manufacture real-time, in-line mineral analyzers powered by Machine Learning.
2024
Draslovka launches MetOptima, an “AI metallurgist” that optimizes processes across grinding, flotation and leaching circuits improve throughput and recovery.
2025
Draslovka enters into a partnership with Natron Energy for the production of Prussian Blue materials in the manufacturing of Sodium-Ion Batteries.
