In 2024, Draslovka advanced its transformation into a provider of sustainability-led technologies and services across mining, agriculture, and specialty chemicals. The company’s updated sustainability strategy, aligned with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), reflects a robust commitment to transparency, innovation, and measurable impact.
Key achievements include:
- Completion of a CSRD-aligned Double Materiality Assessment and the introduction of ESG targets across environmental, social, and governance pillars.
- Full disclosure of Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions, with Scope 3 reporting planned for 2025.
- Continued commercialization of Glycine Leaching Technology (GLT), which reduces CO₂e emissions by up to 170 kg per ton of nickel equivalent and significantly lowers sodium cyanide use in gold mining.
- Expansion of sustainable fumigants like EDN™, which offers a 98% lower global warming potential than conventional alternatives.
- Strengthened ESG governance through dedicated committees, enhanced data frameworks, and new employee engagement initiatives.
